Freud.Ai
A Dream analysis LLM platform
Overview
Role: Product Manager & UX Designer
Timeline: 2023 – 2024 (6 months)
Team: Solo initiative with external AI/ML collaborators
Type: UX problem solving course final project
Context & goal
Most dream analysis apps are either too simplistic or pseudo-scientific. The goal of Freud.Ai was to design a credible, AI-powered platform where users could record their dreams, identify recurring patterns, and explore psychological insights in a playful yet structured way.
Process & contributions
Research:
Conducted competitive analysis of dream journaling apps
Reviewed psychological frameworks (Freud, Jung, CBT) to shape feature set
Surveyed potential users on journaling habits and expectations
Design :
Created information architecture balancing simplicity (for daily use) with depth (for insights and stats)
Designed low-fidelity wireframes → interactive prototypes for usability testing
Iterated UI for mobile-first journaling with dark mode emphasis (since users log dreams in the morning/night)
The solution
A mobile-first platform that allows users to:
Record dreams quickly with voice or text
Get AI-generated symbolic interpretations grounded in psychology
Track recurring themes with visual dashboards and statistics
Access gamified features (badges for logging streaks, “most common dream symbol of the month”)
The solution
User Journey I > New Dream Entry
User Journey II > Explore analytics and symbol Drill Down
Overall recurring feelings
New entry
Quick view analytics
Recurring themes & symbols
High fidelity screens
